magpinasweto, papapel, di kamao, pangilaray ug konsepto

kagamay ra sa Cebu

ulo ra sa mga mabaw nga tao

ang gadako niining senaryo

 

Hoy, manunulat nga binayran

sa pagliso, pamakak, pangilad ikaw nisikat ug nabulahan

Pero wa’y aso’ng makomkom

Mapaso ra gihapon ka’s kamatooran

nga mobangon sa iyang lubnganan

 

Kay ang kamatooran libre

Di mapalit sa politiko

ug mabaligya sa negosyante

 

Hoy, pulis nga wa’y hinungdan

nga sige lang gadawat ug soborno

sige’g padako sa imong tiyan

Abusado’ng walay sama

Gadungag-dungag ka lang sa problema

niining katilingbang wa’y hustisya

 

Hoy, abogado nga simang

gatoo ka’g maka-ikyas ka

sa imong minaro ug mga kaboang

Bitaron ra gihapon ka

paatubangon sa kataohan

sa hukmanan sa balaknon nga hustisya

Hey, cocky musician

Mr. know-it-all, role hungry, don’t-know-how, deceitful in concept
How small is Cebu;
the only big in this scene are the shallow heads
Hey, hack
In your spinning, lying, deceiving you’ve reached fame and fortune
But no smoke can be held
You’re gonna burn in the truth rising from its grave
The truth is free
Can’t be bought by politicians
Can’t be sold by businessmen
Hey, no good cop
Always getting bribes, and bloating your belly
Abusive like no other
Just adding up the problems in this unjust society
Hey, crooked lawyer
Think you can get away with your monkey business?
You’re still gonna get dragged
to face the people in the court of poetic justice
